    Williams Open House – Thursday, August 7th

    Williams Open House – Thursday, August 7th Open House for 6th Grade will be from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. 7th / 8th grade will be from 3:00 p.m.- 4:30 p.m.  School and PE uniforms may be picked up in the gymnasium. Open House is the perfect chance to: • Meet your child's teachers • Purchase PE uniforms • Learn about Club opportunities • Get school supplies information • Join the PTSA

    Williams IB Mandatory Uniform Policy

    Williams IB Magnet MS is a mandatory uniform school. Uniforms are mandatory beginning Day 1 of the school year. Uniforms must be worn Monday through Friday, with the exception of "Spirit Days." The dress and grooming of pupils shall be that which contributes to the health and safety of the individual and which is non-disruptive of the educational activities and processes of a school. Uniforms must be clean in appearance, and all clothing must meet the HCPS dress code requirements. The only uniform items which MUST be purchased at Williams MS is the PE uniforms shorts / bottoms. Uniform polos may be purchased in any department store, but the only logo which may be displayed is the Williams MS IB logo.     Williams SAC (School Advisory Council) Needs You!

    The SAC is a partnership between the school and the community it serves. The SAC is responsible for assisting with the annual preparation, implementation, and evaluation of the School Improvement Plan. SAC Members support school improvement, strengthen parent involvement, review successes and areas of growth, participate in SAC meetings, and represent the ethnic and racial diversity of our student population. If you are interested in participating, please click on the title above before July 24th to express your interest in becoming a member of Williams SAC.

    Read with the Rays to Win

    HOW TO PLAY THE GAME The rules of the game are simple. Choose your favorite books from your local library to read over the summer. As you read, track your hours by rounding the bases and collect Rays prizes along the way. When you’ve read enough hours to hit first base, ask your parent or guardian to initial your card and take it to your local Suncoast Credit Union branch or local library. Round the bases by reading a total of 24 hours this summer and receive fun prizes. For more information about the Reading with the Rays program, go to raysbaseball.com/reading.

Every time you hit a new reading milestone, you’ll move down the field, inching closer to scoring a goal! Ask your parent or guardian to sign your Playbook Card as you accomplish each milestone and bring it to Great Explorations Children’s Museum. A representative from the museum will sign your card and give you a fun prize for being a world-class reader! If you can’t make it to Great Explorations, please complete this online form to redeem your prizes. Reading prizes can be redeemed starting August 11.
