FALL 2025 REGISTRATION
AM Club time is from 7:00-8:15. PM Clubs time is from 3:30 – 4:45 PM. (PM Students will report to their club room at the PM bell.) Students must be picked up promptly by 5:00 pm. A late pick fee will be applied to students picked up after 5:00. $1.00 per minute. After 3 late pickups students will be dismissed from the program without a refund. (Below are the planned clubs for 2025-2026. Specific days, times & dates are subject to change before the school year begins. A final calendar will be published once testing dates and other specifics are known for the 2025-2026 school year.)
TUESDAY & THURSDAY AM CLUB:
STUDENT ASTRONAUT CHALLENGE (SAC) COMPETITION TEAM - The Student Astronaut Challenge is an aerospace-related secondary (grades 6-12) STEM competition. Student teams of six initially participate in a qualifying test where their scores are averaged for ranking. The top teams are then selected for each division. These teams compete in a four part final competition that is held annually at the Kennedy Space Center in February over three days. The four challenges are design, engineering, landing, and space flight simulation. Student in the club participate in a competition that begins with a tryout and written test and if successful will progress to a competition at Kennedy Space Center. (This Club will meet at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesdays & Thursdays before school starts) Try-out Fee $ 45.00, Team Fee if selected due Oct.1, 2025$ 160.00 {only 12 selected} Qualifying Test—Sept 10. Finals—February 2-4, 2026
WEDNESDAY CLUBS:
ROBOTICS CLUB & COMPETITION TEAM - The VEX IQ Robotics Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, provides students with exciting, open-ended robotics and research project challenges that enhance their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills through hands-on, student-centered learning. A VEX IQ Robotics set is used with plastic pieces that snap together using pegs, making it easy to construct a robot. Students use a coding software called VEXcode IQ to program the robot. It can be programmed with block-based coding or Python. There are two parts to the contests: Robot Skills, which is a single robot trying to score as many points as possible, and the Teamwork Challenge, where two robots attempt to work together to complete the same task. ROBOTICS CLUB & COMPETITION TEAM - Wednesdays after school. Creating and competing with VEX robots. Competitions on Saturday’s Tryout Fee $ 30.00, Team Fee if selected due Oct.1, 2024 $ 85.00 – {only 30 selected}
STEM GIRLS AIM CLUB – STEM Girls – The (AIM) All In for Mechatronics STEAM program to teach how robotics is based on combining practical skills from mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, control systems and computer aided design skills. Girls will learn these skills applied to a wide variety career opportunities and see how they can be used to help their community and their country.
THURSDAY CLUBS:
CYBER PATRIOT CLUB & COMPETITION TEAM – CyberPatriot - The National Youth Cyber Education Program is STEM program of the Air & Space Forces Association. It was created to inspire K-12 students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines critical to our nation's future. At the center of CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition, which puts teams of middle and high school students in the position of newly hired IT professionals tasked with managing the network of a small company. Through a series of online competition rounds, teams are given a set of virtual operating systems and are tasked with finding and fixing cybersecurity vulnerabilities while maintaining critical services. (Thursdays after school—Teams will be 2 to 6 students per team. Multiple competitions are held on Thursday or Friday during the school day.)
STEM Garden Club - Students in the STEM Garden club will learn about protecting our earth and environment while spending afternoons working hands-on in our STEM Garden caring for our plants. (Thursdays after school.)
Other Clubs may be offered at the beginning of the school year and the semester change.
11 Club meetings will be provided per semester (except SAC- 6 + 22 & Robotic 3 + 11). (Specific date to follow)
