Student Led Transition Program
When a new student registers at Randall, the student and parent/legal guardian meet with the grade level Counselor to discuss course selection. The Counselor will also answer questions about the school, including clubs and athletics. After a schedule is completed, the student will walk their schedule with a fellow student who can answer questions from a student’s perspective. We have fun gatherings quarterly for new students called “New to the Nest.” Students will receive an invitation to attend a morning get-together with the goal of helping students new to our community get acquainted with others.
When registering in the summer, an administrator is always available to arrange a campus tour for our military families.

Families can contact Ms. Rebecca “Beckey” Smith, Assistant Principal, at (813)740-3900, Ext. 238 or rebecca.smith@hcps.net with questions regarding Exceptional Student Education. If you are transitioning to the area and have questions about services in Hillsborough County Public Schools contact the Choice Information Line at (813) 272-4692 and identify yourself as a transitioning military family to connect with the Exceptional Student Education Department.

Your child’s School Student Services staff which includes our School Counselor and School Social Worker can provide support and share resources to assist during these challenging times. Families can also visit the HCPS Mental Health Matters site for additional resources. Our Military Family Life Counselor is Ms. Kaila McCarthy, (813)740-3900, Ext. 234.
